IMPORTANT FAQ!!!

Some questions you may want to consider prior to booking.

1. What henna is used?
I use may different henna. 1. Henna inported from India. 2. Henna bought in Singapore. 3. Instant red henna in stores for the nails. (i practically buy henna every whr i go;-) )

2. Is the henna red?
Nope peps, the henna I use is Indian henna so it will not be bright RED...like the one we apply on our fingertips...but it will be a very nice shade of brown. Very visible(terang). Please refer to the pictures in this blog.

3. How long will my henna last?
One week normally. The longer you leave the henna paste on the skin, the longer it will last. And of course with proper care. It starts the moment you remove the paste. No contact with water for 8 hours or so. Oil need to be applied after removal of paste. Avoid harsh diswasher liquid or detergent, and no swimming.

4. How long must i keep the henna paste on?
It depends on how long you're willing to wait. The longer the better n the more long lasting it will stain your skin. however, normally i would advise 3 -4 hours.

5. Is it ok to book for the henna 2 days before my nikah/wedding day?
Yep peps, henna takes 24-48 hours to develop to its best colour. it will slowly release its colour and stain your hands n feet nicely. By your wedding day, the colour would be superb!

6. Why is it my henna is not as nice/dark colour as other people?
Well hunniez, this depends on your body temperature. If you're body is warm (badan panas), then, the colour is gonna be even darker on you. so the result of colour varies from one person to another.

7. Is the henna applied using a henna template? (i get this a lot dearies..;-) )

No, I will draw it on your hands and feet.

8. When is the best time for me to apply henna prior to my nikah/wedding?

a. A night of 2 before the occasion. Usually, after isya' coz then the henna hands n feet cant be in contact with water until the next morning.
b. Only nite pls, i've a full-time day job;-)

9. Can I use instant henna instead?
Sure, some ppl cant hv the henna too long esp those who work in hotel line...so a week for the henna to lose its colour will be too long. And some just don't like to wait for the henna paste to dry. So, sure I will use that if u request it.

10. My family members love to have their hands adorn too. Can i request for this service?
My pleasure...if any of your family members want to apply henna, I will put it for them. It will not be inclusive of the package though.

11. How about transport?
I will normally go to your place and apply it for you, unless you want to come to mine. i don't own a shop, so it will be my place. Transportation cost is inclusive in the price I quote^_^ if you're around Melaka.

Henna I use...

Hey all again...

SO, many have asked me what henna do I use...
normally the henna I use i'll make sure i'll test it on myself or my friends first...that's why you see many of their pictures here;) apart from perfecting my skill in drawing, the main reason...is to try out the henna i buy.
so practically wherever i go, i will be looking for henna cones. ok this is not the ones is tube...it's in cone...many that i have bought and tried...i like some...SUPREME, great colour, last quite some time, but the henna can be dry sometimes...
and some other which i bought in Brickfields, JB Ranjeeta Indian Store, Madura...just to name a few.
last couple of months, my sis went to India for vacation, and naturally, being in India whr henna is very well-known and widely used, i asked her to get some henna cones from there...
and i loved the henna thr! very easy application, moist, which is better as it doesnt all off easily, sticks to the skin, and the best part...it lasts more than a week!
the henna colour develops rather late, it takes abt 24 to 48 hours before u see a very nice colour on your skin! but isn't that great? it means even after week, the colour would still be very nice. it doesn not fade off quickly.
i believe for a bride, after spending quite a sum of money on henna, of course you would want it to stay on your skin longer. so this indian henna is perfect. so now, i've asked my brother in law to buy for me whenever he goes thr for work...thanks to him!:-)
and if i dont hv the india henna, i'd still have some of my faves henna which gives gud colour and also lasts quite long.

so peps, hope this answers your inquiries on the type of henna i use...

that's all for now...ciao!!!

Henna Review

Hey all...

Well i know i said i would upload some pictures of the henna i use and also some more info on the result of henna colour onto different parts of bodies, but when i looked through some pictures i've taken, terjumpa pulak these 4 pictures. thought of doing a henna tube review dah lama dah, but been delaying doing so. walla! now it's here...

so i've been looking at some blogs...and i see the henna being used is kinda wet...i don;t really know what henna some of these artists used, so i pun sajernya la try out this henna tube give to me by a friend of mine...it is said to be very red...and a lot brides love red coloured henna...

this is the cone i used...rani nie mmng well-known....u can basically get it anywhere...upon application....firstly, i've got to say the smell is rather strong...it smelt like BUNCHO as my friends described it...so that's defnitely a NO-NO for me.

but it is very difficult to draw from the tube...maybe i'm not used to this...the lines and designs run easily as the henna is rather watery...another No-No. it looks horrible!

as for the time it's required for the henna to dry and the colour to develop....only took quarter of the hour normal henna would....1 hour plus...that's just how long i kept the henna paste on. could even peel the paste off easily. so that's a plus...i'd want tht as well...fast n no mess.

after removal, the colour was just superb! well if one likes red....but for me i'm so used to the henna being brown, plus i like brown better! but when i bathed the next morning, colour came off! no wonder some of the ppl i know said the henna they applied on their hands only lasted a few days...it changed orangy! and no one likes orangy kan?

hmmm...so the verdict....am not gonna use this eva! maybe if any bride wants it just for the occasion, it'd be a good choice for that lovely colour. fast, no mess, red!
if you want the henna to last perhaps a week...then...try other types of henna:-)

ok peps! that's all the review for now....ciao!
